Whimsical Treehouse Wedding at Seguin Tree Dwellings
There’s a quality of life in Maine which is this singular and unique, I think. It’s absolutely a world onto itself. // Jamie Wyeth
Stephanie + Rahul's unique (treehouse!) micro wedding blended the scenery of Maine’s pines and shores beautifully.
These two are so easy to love. Growing up in India, Rahul was accustomed to wedding celebrations of 500 or more guests, where many in attendance didn't know each other. Which is why he always knew that when it was his turn to get married, it would be an intentional, intimate experience with loved ones. Suffice it to say, Stephanie + Rahul created the kind of celebration that spoke to their hearts, reflecting who they are and how they wanted to commemorate this milestone in their lives.
From the divine setting that is Seguin Tree Dwellings, to the whimsical, woodsy details that would make any photographer swoon, there was a bit of magic present in the trees of Georgetown. We took things coast-side for a sweet ceremony on the shores of Reid State Park (a personal favorite), where S+R cast their vows via live stream for Rahul's family in India. Due to complications with the travel visa process, his parents were not able to attend, but their presence was palpably felt. Rahul's mother spoke of her son during his wedding ceremony, bringing to the surface raw emotion that was such a beautiful thing to witness and safekeep.
We spent the better part of the day's golden glow creating portraits around Reid with romance radiating in every frame, then retreated to a cozy treehouse reception up among the pines of midcoast Maine.
Wow wow wow. More intentional, unique celebrations like this, please.
